Can a Berlin band sound like fluorescent crayons writing heartbreaking teenage stories? Matching outfits are proof that they can. They sound as cute as their name and are coming to Bytča!
MATCHING OUTFITS
Matching Outfits is a trio of adopted Berliners whose twisted, melancholic take on indie pop has been likened to "a Super 8 film from the family attic." Singer Linney Mårtensson's lyrics capture life's great losses and minor annoyances in heartbreaking, sometimes humorous detail, while the delicious harmonies roll between disjointed outbursts and shared polyphonic choruses. Their debut cassette, Band Made Out Of Sand, caught the attention of cult radio station WFMU, as well as New Jersey label Bar/None (Yo La Tengo, The Feelies), which signed the band and released their second album, Ditch Me, on July 25, 2025. The band does not wear matching outfits, except when they do.

Michal Berec (ex-Personal Spaces) je hudobník a gitarista z Trenčína, ktorý svojou hrou na akustickú gitaru odkazuje k tradícií americkémo primitivizmu, blues a minimalizmu. Jeho kompozície popierajúce pevné hranice času si môžete vypočuť v čerstvom EP – Songs of Sacred Places.
